Sharks : Scavengers of the Seas - Documentary
Shark videos 8 years ago 3,550,583 views
Before being an earthly paradise with enchanting colours, the lagoon of New-Caledonia is above all a paradise for sharks. Usually considered as fierce predators, sharks really are opportunistic scavengers. Scavengers that are not too picky when it comes to their menu: feathers, fins or fur, anything will do. Amongst the most striking scenes which punctuate this documentary filmed for four years in New Caledonia, is the never-seen-before sequence of the planet’s greatest animal, a weakened blue whale, attacked and cleaned up by hordes of sharks from the surface down to the abyss. High quality images and a dramatic backdrop soundtrack plunge us into the shark's world. PS: Being a baby turtle sucks, man...
ps: rather than feeling "deep", I feel utter revulsion at the carnage that life entails, its billions of years of meaningless suffering without rhyme or reason
this is really not cool

I cannot understand why all humans are not preoccupied wirh this question,. Instead, fnd time to hate and be racist.
And as Future Man said, the idea that there is a point is not the only possible interpretation.
I, for one, regard all meaning as fundamentally extrinsic, existing only within minds; this does not cheapen the search for meaning, but refines my methods of doing so and instills a certain wariness towards absolutism of practically any sort.
Only fisherman and hunters are real predators.

@ 3:05, the sea bird, rather than fly off when the shark first tries to eat him, waits until--after several failed attempts from the shark--he definitely thinks the shark may now indeed eat him on the next attempt. Then, and ONLY then, does he bother to get off the surface of the water....and even then he does so in a way that suggests he only wants to put the bare minimum effort into it.
Sheesh....I thought I could be lazy sometimes. Nope!
Also hate these documentaries that put unnecessary sound/visual effects over the footage.

They are the top predators of the oceans... like the top land predator on the savanna, the Lion.
Yes , they will come in and finish off a dead carcass ...
And if you dress in all black like their favorite food, seal... well you are dinner... same goes for green and white , like a sea turtle.... dinner also!
Study before you swim.... Great whites don't go after humans for hunger...... Use your head before entering their domain!
Humans who have faced true risk of starvation and lived to tell of it often compulsively hoard even the tiniest scraps of food for months at a time you know, though I'm unsure what long-term effects sharks and the like suffer from brushes with such an agonizing, slow death. If you got hungry enough, you'd do anything to alleviate it.
Also, why do sharks eating look like sock puppets?

No srsly it was good. Love sharks.
Fuck trevally tho.
vegans should really watch this video and learn about the circle of life.
Edgy?
The evolution of fish began about 530 million years ago during the Cambrian explosion (of life)
f.e.
According to fossil records, hagfish have existed for over 300 million years, which means they were already old when dinosaurs took over the world!
yes, yes, these are the creatures this video also mentions. So they are a bit older. 5 million years is a blink of an eye in fish evolution. Or consider this: dinosaurs became extinct about 65 million years ago, and they appeared after the amphibia, which appeared after the fish, so the oldest fish with 5 million years is a bad joke
