Couple real quick points questions whatever I really do like this guy show but a I don't know about you but I've never seen a whale in a river have you? I mean I'm probably missing something but calling a whale shark or this big thing of a digger river monster yeah just doesn't quite fit and second thing like I said I do like the guy I like your show she's a good fisherman no good at what he does I guess good grief he always this melodramatic? Hello everyone, I was reading some dumbass comments where people were talking dumbass shit about Megalodons.
1. Megalodons are obviously not scavengers why would they have the greatest bite force in the world if they were scavengers?!
2. Megalodons eat prey bigger than themselves not smaller, they ate giant whales and threats. Evidence from a fossil found of a whale vertebrae with a Megalodon tooth in it.
3. Megalodons could eat this whale maybe not as easy as pie, but it wouldn't exactly be a fight.
4. Megalodons don't swallow things hole they eat the fins first and than the good stuff.

Only a very small percentage of extinct animals have left evidence of their existence such as fossils, so it doesnt make sense to say that this animal or that animal was the biggest, smallest, tallest, first ect.

Leedsichthys is the largest bony fish ever to patrol the ocean. However, despite being the largest fish of the mid-Jurassic Period (about 165~155 million years ago), Leedsichthys was possibly at the bottom of the food chain due to its lack of razor-sharp weaponry.

Here's a fun fact for ya. This monster only has 1 descendant living today. The bowfin. I've actually caught a bowfin in far East Texas before. You're wrong. People aren't impressed by the combination of size and the physical anatomy that makes it a fish, they are impressed by the fact that it's an enormous sea creature. The video is only about fish specifically so they can ignore creatures that are larger.

Hearing that the word we use to classify this species is different from the word we use to classify most of its neighbors has no effect on how impressed a child is, how how afraid anyone would be if they were in the water with it.

For all you 10 year old tardburgers who start saying "megalodon biggest fish XD" the megalodon grew to 56 feet in length, atleast that was the largest ever recorded, but this fish was longer. of course the megalodon would still be able to kill it since it ate whales and had the tools for the job. however this is besides the point, it may have been a filter feeder but like it or not, it was larger

big is nice, but one prehistoric fish that can give anyone chills down their spine is the super super super ancient Dunkleosteus. For some reason, it is more scary to me than Megalodon, because it lived in a time when our fish ancestors were just beginning to emerge and Dunkleosteus was a 20 feet long 1 tonne heavy super predator. If it had never gone extinct, we'd never be here!

Just because I've seen a bunch of "megalodon this" and "megalodon that" I'm gonna throw this out there, we don't technically 'know' how big megalodon actually was as we've only really found teeth, we can make educated guesses based on modern day predatory skarks and their teeth:size ratio but we'll never actually know as cartalige doesn't preserve, especially in salt water environments
