Edit: This series is available in 1080p on Bluray. BBC, I really think that's what you should be showing here, not the original 2001 cut, as awesome as it was. I think the version available to stream on Netflix is at least 720p.

I mean the Blu-ray and Netflix versions both cost money. Kinda makes sense that they'd make the free version lower quality so that there's still incentive to buy a better version.

Underwater cameras are years behind terrestrial. That's like rescanning Zoo Quest and expecting 1080p.

Haha, what? Rescanning means the original film is scanned to digital format in a film scanner with higher resolution. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_picture_film_scanner
