Seriously though, it is just a shark species that is called "whale sharks". The reason for them getting that name is because they are the size of a whale, as well as only eating tiny food, like plankton and small fish :)

"fish" is a broad term. sharks and fishes are different. sharks are Chondrichthyes and what you would call "fish" are Osteichthyes. main difference: their skeleton. sharks, rays and skates have a cartilaginous one while "fish" have a boney one.

Sharks can't have rabies; that's a disease only warm-blooded animals can carry. Spooked, perhaps, or annoyed, but not rabid. In any case, I've never heard of someone being injured by a whale shark, unless they cut themselves on the scales or something, but even that's not very serious.

i saw 4 in the atlanta aquarium visiting my cousin in atlanta georgia. they are my fave sharks

no they won't eat you. it eats smaller things. i luv 2 study the ocean. i wanna be a marine biologist so it's good 2 learn about sharks, whales, seals, shells and other stuff when your young hahaha

no. they only look like sharks. but they eat like whales :)

i swam with one of those in australia once most terrifying thing EVER its so huge, and when it turns towards you your like SWIM AWAY. only thing you really have to watch out for is their fins. some guy with us had his leg broken in 4 places cos the sharks tail hit it
