Hullo, First of all I must say that I'm not satisfied with the final work in this video... but after re-encoding more than ten times i gave up... the output is too jittery as compared to the original clips... AND my old laptop literally refused to encode at the original 1080p resolution so I had to accept to downgrade to 720p... which is pretty annoying... given that this was filmed with my Sony Xperia Acro S and that the output is amazingly clear... Really need to get myself a better pc/laptop or better software... Anyway, hope you do manage to enjoy what came out of it... The music is from BattleStar Galactica: Admiral and Commander by BearMc Creary... Cheers, Reuben

Reuben!! I can't thank you enough :) I know there is a lot to see and do in Mauritius...and we have, but you really have made my holiday!! Swimming around the coral and seeing the life that lives there... This is my favourite place in the world to be, it's a place that's special because I can forget about all my troubles and concerns, and just enjoy 'being' :) Thanks so much dude, you're a star. Unfortunately we are going back on Saturday, so can't meet on Sunday, and as of yesterday (as is always the way when you have family in Mauritius) we are completely fully

Hi Reuben :) I commented on one of your videos a few years ago. I'm from the uk, and whenever I come and stay in flic en flac, the first thing I do is grab my snorkel and mask, and go swimming on this reef. I'm in Mauritius now for the next seven days, but when I first arrived, I got my snorkel, went straight into the sea.... And the reef that I love so much seems to have completely died, the ecology has completely changed :( the first time I swam the reef was in 2006, I noticed a definite change in 2011... And now it seems to have completely gone... I know this video is a couple of years old now, but do you know if there are any parts of the reef that still exist? Perhaps we could meet up, and you could show me? Hope all is well with you, kind regards, Reshad :)

+reshad1 Hi Reshad, yeah, sadly, much of the reef is indeed gone... but there are a few spots at the beginning of the beach ... in front of the area where there are 'Parasols en chaume' those l'il kiosks in straw... and it stretches as from 10m from the beach to the reef in small patches...

I've started running there early on sundays before going to snorkel... gone there 3 consecutive times... but I'm not happy with the darkened tan I've turned into... so I might go much earlier this sunday... and unfortunately, the sea levels are low so early... I'll be there as from 07h00 till may be 09h30... do call me if you think we can meet early 54 28 43 03 ;-)

+Surferboy280886 It is very shallow water indeed... thigh deep... C'est devant les parasols en chaume at the beginning of the beach... right before the the first parking.
