And not fake my cousin were trying to push me down to breath i felt dizzy and couldnt breath it was so cold i stutter and when we got out ny cousins throwed up but me i felt week and it felt like fluid in ny brain
1. A LOT OF SAFETY RULES. Swim as a pair near a life-guards chair, don't just pack it wear your jacket, reach or throw don't go, ect.
2. SURVIVAL FLOAT. You forgot one of the most important floats I know of.
3. DON'T JUMP IF YOU CAN'T SEE THE BOTTOM. If you're swimming at a lake, sometimes there are designated floating docks with diving boards for jumping off of. You forgot to mention that you have no idea what could be at the bottom, including people. You should always wait a few seconds before you go to make sure there's no one under you. And they should have life-guards there. And these lakes that have diving boards and docks should know what's at the bottom since they own it.
I will edit this when I think of more stuff. But so far that's all I can think of.

Most people have their breath resting at about 40-50%
The extra 40-50% is what makes you float

Sea-easy, perfect for beginners. Just don't go into the deep.
River- medium, you can still learn how to swim here. But don't go into deep, don't swim against it, watch your steps ( the place where you want to swim might not look deep, but river is tricky so it might be, or vice versa)
Lake- DANGEROUS, you can't learn how to swim here. The water is too deep, and the water is still so it's extremely easy to drown.
It's not the depth that scares me, it's the vulnerability. I have no way of knowing what's under me and, if something under me is a threat, I have no way to quickly fight back or move.

Went to the lake yesterday swam out all the way to the 10ft let out all the air in my lungs sunk to the bottom and found a pair of goggles. Then I swam up. Easy.
