We booked it with KMK Tour and Travel. The booth is located next to 7Q Resident in Patong Beach. I think it was around $35usd each. I believe they're normally more expensive than that so shop around and try to negotiate

Donald Duck bay on Island #4. Its a little to your left if you are looking out towards the water. Not necessarily a private beach but not that many people went there as they were mostly on the larger beach or up at the viewpoint.

I will answer my 2nd question for anyone else interested. My husband found just call your local AAA office. Walk in, fill out forms, $10 for passport type pics, $20 for IDP (international drivers permit). Leave in 10-15 min later with IDP in hand. NOTE:: You must already have a current motorcycle endorsement on your state issued drivers license to get the motorcycle endorsement on the IDP.He will be buying his this week so we can ride scooters in Thailand hopefully with no hassles.

Joshua Yap We didn't have an international license but it would have saved a headache several times. Never got a ticket but Rafael's US license has a motorcycle permit as well so maybe that's why they cut us some slack? We caved when we got back and got an Int license. It was around $20 and good for a year. Used it in Europe. If we could go back in time we would have gotten it for Asia as well. Hope this helps answer your question!

As from today, unregistered drones are illegal in Thailand and the penalty is up to 5 years jail.

Any recommendation on Krabi vs. Phuket? I've watched a few of your videos and they both look great but we'll have 4-5 days down there for part of our holiday and I know you said 2-3 in Krabi town would suffice. Just me and my girlfriend traveling together and most likely going to be using public transportation to get around. Great content on your channel!

mr reise Stay in Krabi for a day or two (the downtown area is very small so you can walk it). Then take a Songthaew to Ao Nang and stay for 3 days. There you will have immediate access to a beach and boats to Railay and Phra Nang Cave Beach. Not sure how much hotels cost in Railay but it would be worth staying directly on Railay and not having to take a boat every day. Phuket is really large and takes a while to get from beach to beach so public transportation may be a little more complicated and time consuming. Either one you choose, you should have access to boats to other islands as well like: Chicken, Tub and Phi Phi. Enjoy your trip!!

Thanks Laura! No denying that the islands in Thailand are on another level but we actually preferred the landscapes and food in Northern Thailand. Check out our Northern Thailand road trip video featuring Phu Chi Fa! It wasn't even on our agenda when we arrived in Chiang Mai. Rented a motorbike and did a spontaneous trip. Totally worth it and definitely the highlight of our trip! Highly recommend the trip if you can add it to your list. Haven't done the Philippines yet but we have some Cebuano friends that have offered to take us!

I will be in phuket in a week and a half, what are the requirements for renting the scooter and what kind of license do you need? What did the cops ask you for everytime they pulled you over? Also do you recommend any specific scooter rental places?

Charles Lugovich For scooter rentals you generally need to leave a passport. If you are renting with a friend only 1 passport is required. If you don't want to leave the passport some places will take a LARGE cash deposit. Cops want to see if you have a valid license, if you are wearing a helmet (buckled) and they may check your belongings for drugs. Get an international DL, it'll save you a headache. I have a motorcycle license and was able to get by just showing them that. The lady at KMK tour and travel booth had the best deals. You can find the location in our video description. Thing about Asia is that things (prices) constantly change depending on a lot of factors. I would shop around and benchmark prices. Also, never be afraid to negotiate! Worst you can get is a "no"
