We visit the beautiful island of Boracay in the Philippines, stay at the Ambassador in Paradise hotel, and do lots of activities including parasailing, snorkeling, helmet diving, jet-skiing and more! Day 1 video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S14muUZNIKs Day 2 video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3LeRE9k_DI Days 3 & 4 video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNvEpA_2Q1U This was our first time visiting the Philippines, so it was indeed our first time going to the beautiful island of Boracay. Because we arrived at our hotel, the Ambassador in Paradise resort, at around 8am and the check-in time is 2pm, we went to check out the beach and relax for a while before we got our room. The beach was AMAZING! The sand was so soft and white, the sea was so crystal clear, and the breeze was so refreshing! The air felt cool and clean which is different from the sea air in Thailand, which we feel is more sticky and humid. We slept on the beach for a few hours before being checked in almost an hour earlier than expected to a large room on the top floor of one of the buildings. We loved our room! The bed was large and comfortable, the room had a lovely island feel to it but wasn't old or worn at all. We could see the beach from our room, though it wasn't directly on the beach, but this wasn't a problem since it was only a short walk away. We were treated with a few gifts and snacks from DreamTrips which was nice! After relaxing and enjoying our new environment for a few hours, we went to our included dinner buffet on the beach. I was expecting a cheaply made, "tourist food" kind of buffet, but we were pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was and the variety that they had! They even provided some table-side entertainment in the form of fire-dancers wielding their spinning balls of flames, which looked incredible! After dinner, we took a shuttle service provided by the hotel to the D' Mall which is a local shopping mall and night market. It looked small at first glance, but after walking around we realised it was actually HUGE and there was so many shops, restaurants and bars (but not the kind of bars where you'd find bar girls or sleazy areas). This area was pretty busy and had a lot of tourists, but was a nice place to walk around and buy things, though I'm sure the prices are blown up for tourists. On our second day, we had our included breakfast buffet which was nice and not too extravagant, and then taken on an included island hopping tour. This included snorkelling and a visit to the Crystal Cove island where you can go into small caves (or coves) that the waves crash into, and go to very high places to see some incredible views. I have to admit that the views were to die for, and the air, the sound of the waves were just unforgettably incredible! From there, we had an included lunch buffet on another island, and then taken to an ATV park where we got to ride our own ATV's to a large tower where you can see the whole of the island and surrounding ones with its stunning panoramic views. Absolutely incredible!! That evening, we had another included tasty dinner buffet and had another walk around the night market area. On our third day, after another included breakfast buffet, we were taken on trip to do some watersports. We started with some included parasailing - it was our first time and was really fun! Apparently, we were 150 metres above sea level at our highest point! After spending 15 minutes in the air, we did some banana boating with a few others. Since we live in Thailand, we're used to the extreme banana boating that happens here, so the banana boating here was very timid in comparison, but still enjoyable. Lotta seemed to be the only one who kept falling over lol. After that, we had an included lunch buffet (good thing I wasn't dieting, huh!) at a fancy restaurant in town which had delicious food and a lot of local dishes too! Then, we arranged with a few others to go jet-skiing and helmet diving. We shared a jet-ski and spent 30 minutes on it. The waves were really high at the time so we were in the air a lot of the time! Helmet diving was next, and we spent 15 minutes at the bottom of the ocean wearing helmets that were pumped with oxygen from the nearby floating raft-thing. This was a great experience and was our first time doing it!
