It's our beach day at Castaway Cay during our Disney Dream Cruise!! We were excited to see the island and get some relaxing time at Castaway Cay. The girls went to Scuttle's Cove, the supervised child play area and we went snorkeling! I even had a sports camera to take some fun underwater video to share with you! I have seen a few videos on here today and makes me wanna go there lol beautiful videos, great tips, lovely family glad to see you all enjoyed it. But i was wondering if you booked the cruise only or you also booked for Disneyland? I mean like both experience? Because i have never gone to Disney or a cruise and i wanna go, if that can be possible (hopefully one day mean xD) to have the cruise and go to disneyland? And also how much does that cost? I did went to florida in 2011 when i was in 11 grade xD it was so amazing to see a lovely place and the parks i went were Universal, Aquatica sea world and the other next to universal i always forget the name jjaaj but anyway it was a great experince and would love to live that again one day. Jejej :D

Thank you!! :) For this trip we were traveling for a media event only on the cruise, so we went straight to the cruise ship. In February, we are flying down for Land and Sea event for the first time! So we will be experiencing Walt Disney World and going on a Disney cruise in the same trip! I'm excited to try it out! :) Costs vary depending on time of year. My best suggestion would be to look online for the time period you are looking at going (if a few years out, just use the same month for the year that is available) and price it out on Disney World's website for land portion & Disney Cruise Line's website for sea portion. Hope that helps! :)

Nice video! I'm going there next month! How was the snorkel gear? I went snorkeling one time in Maui and the gear wasn't so great. Also how far did you had to swim before seeing the Mickey stuff at the bottom , just curious.

I thought it was fine, I'm not a seasoned snorkeler or anything, but it got the job done just fine! :) The Mickey was pretty far out, but there is supposed to be a Minnie that is closer to shore, I just ended up on a different side than it is on. There are buoys sticking out of the water where the large things are located.

Your music choice was perfect - I so enjoyed watching this video, so peaceful. It must have been wonderful to be able to hop on and off a tram without strollers, bags, kids, old people (i.e. me) etc.!!

Bahaha!! It was just nice to not have to lug all of the kid stuff around - strollers, car seats, etc... that stuff does add a ton of extra bulk and this trip helped to prove how much easier we could move around without having to deal with all of that stuff! :) (Nanas are easier to work with because you carry yourself around, lol. ♥) ;)

snorkelling is such a fun activity, we went while on a pacific cruise last December. The fish are so beautiful. We were on small pacific islands. Castaway Cay looks very pretty and well set up. Being Australian we don't have a lot to do with Disney but if I ever get to the states I would love to try one of these cruises.

The fishing boat & buoy, I'm unsure - the submarine I knew before we went, that it was one of the subs used on the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride at Walt Disney World when it was still operating!! After that ride closed down, and they leased/purchased Castaway Cay, they moved that sub down there as a little "Easter Egg" of sorts, it has a neat history. :) Thanks for watching! ♥

You guys are beyond brave. I could never ever leave my son alone with people that I do not personally know, on a ginormous boat, on our vacation. I'd be an anxious mess.
Nowadays, people are way too sneaky and ballsy and it freaks me out to leave my son alone with people. Besides family, people don't ever watch my son.

I thought they had a great system of checks and balances for safety & security that I talk about in more detail in our Oceaneer Club review. ;) That being said, even family members or people you think you know well can be sneaky... act in ways you never would have expected from them, and not always have your best interest at heart, it all depends on the individual... It comes down to trusting your instinct. ♥ The kids were luckily very comfortable there, we were comfortable with it... so it worked out great that we had the additional adults only opportunities! ;)
