How come my underwater Go-Pro video on my channel isn't as clear as this one and has way fewer views? I'm not sure that they're using a Go-Pro at all. I think maybe they just used that brand tagline in the title to get more views or this is a secret advert for Go-Pro. Go-Pros tend to have a fish eye lens so the picture is warped and are never this clear underwater. But then again, he's using a Go-Pro stick so I'm not certain. Maybe they have a special Go-Pro adaptor for underwater or something? I used a Hero 2 at a high-def setting and it wasn't all that good underwater. Maybe the Hero 3 is better? -And why am I wasting my precious time writing in You-Tube comments blah blah, life's too short :)

lol. You think like me. Skeptical. That said, it was in fact all shot on the gopro named in the title, with no filter, edited on imovie in like an hour. The "gopro" stick is a custom stick I made from PVC, black spray paint and a gropro sticker that came with the gopro. Regarding the views, I'm not sure why it got so many. When I was editing it, I was just learning how to use imovie and then just randomly decided to post it. I think people like the song. Might be the thumbnail of Casey. Maybe just luck... Probably the thumbnail. BTW I just checked out your Bike Escape vid. Good stuff!

I'm a bit claustrophobic but I love snorkeling. But snorkeling and diving are two separate things. Make sure your boyfriend is asking you to accompany him in snorkeling. Also, you can snorkel but not dive deep at all. There are snorkel vests that allow you to simply float on the surface of the water. You can bleed out some air to allow yourself the ability to dive lower to explore reefs, sunken airplanes, etc. So stay on the surface and get a feel for your surroundings and then decide if you'd like to get below the surface.

The best video I have seen of snorkeling down at 2 Step and you can actually see the 2 steps you take to get in. This is on the Kona side of the Big Island at a place south of Kailua-Kona, called the City of Refuge, Pu'u Honua O Honaunau. It's pretty shallow the first 40 yds out and the drops off to past 100 ft. Lots of dolphins come in to rest during the mornings here.

If you are talking about great whites don't be scared. Great white are curious. They don't actually like humans, yes I know people have died from them but most of them are prob not from great whites. Great whites are picky eaters. If your talking about deaths well we should talk about bull sharks. They are not picky and will bite a human and finish them off. Great whites investigate by using their mouth since they don't have a nose.

+Amber Laree there are only about 7 sharks attacks worldwide each year. Maybe one every two years or so in Hawaii. Sharks only attack fish, or ppl that are panicking or thrashing in the water. Also, dolphins sometimes come into places like this to rest and they will drive off any sharks the pod sees.

+E Already back from Hawaii... Well i found the courage not just to snorkel but to Scuba dive too! Oh my god it was one of my life's highlights... The instructor told us about a chance we'll meet a white tip or black tip sharks and that they are completely harmless! Seriously, if you ever go to Hawaii DONT MISS IT! (Generally our honeymoon was over the top, we love you Mother Hawaii <3 )

Michael Ayden there are different filters for filming underwater with a GoPro. The fish-eye effect can be made invisible with a software. In addition to that it might be a better Gopro that can record up to 60 fps in a second at a resolution of 1080p :)

I don't think they're using a Go-Pro. I think they just used that brand tagline to get more views. Go-Pros have a fish eye lens and are never this clear underwater. But then again, he's using a Go-Pro stick so I'm not certain. Maybe they have a special Go-Pro adaptor for underwater or something??? I used a Hero 2 and it wasn't all that good for underwater. maybe the Hero 3 is better?

Hi...we're going snorkeling in Roatan in a few months...I've been a couple of times before...it's just for a couple of hours on a cruise excursion. I bought a Hero 3 mainly to shoot while snorkeling. I won't have a lot of time to experiment and want to get the best results possible while I'm there. Could you please tell me what field of view you used and do you use Protune? Thanks!

With GoPro it is not advised to use any filter above 15 ft. Otherwise the end product does not look natural.

Please avoid dives with the snorkel in your mouths, this could be dangerous once back to surface.. Nice dive though !

+Gusten Akerman Well, once you are underwater keeping the snorkel in you'r mouth is already useless, and specially if it was a long or deep dive the first breathe is a bit of an urge back to surface, you are putting yourself in an unnecessary risk of drowning with the water in the tube !
