They aren't only for preventing pregnancy. My dr put me on them at 16 to regulate mine because I was severely anemic from only having 4 days a month I WASN'T on my period.
So there you go, advice from a mom that keeps it real & it works far better than a string on your toe.

Me: are we going anywhere next month?
Mom: no..why?
Me: uuhh
Mom: why??
Me: I’m just asking

I remember when it was a beginning of a new month and then after I think 5 days it ended. Since we were leaving on the third week and mine ended on the second I was just like “YAS”. I got my bathing suit and got light pants. But on the my first week of vacation, my period happened again....
Vacation? Check.
Wearing white pants? Check.
Pool just opened for the summer? Check.
In foreign country when I didn’t expect it and didn’t pack pads? Check.
In very public setting and don’t have any pads? Check.
... you get the idea.
Step 2) When you reach the end of the hormone pills, start taking the next months hormone pills without taking the week ling sugar pills for the break (which means you don't break for a period)
It actually works & it is awesome for holidays & events.
You get pregnant

As for another period story, I just legit ran a half marathon with my period.

*warm compress/heating pad on lower belly to stimulate blood flow
*warm baths to relax muscles
*avoid caffeine
*avoid alcohol
I did it recently, I induced my period 4 days early so that I could not be on it during our vacation.
Me: absolutely
Period: so where are we going....if there’s a pool I’m definitely coming
My period: oooh can I go with you?
UPDATE: nothing worked. got it right in the middle of my holiday. fml

it came on the day of the pool party! I literally cried. Then mom told me about tampons, which saved my life that day.

Omg that’s happened to me so many times before (also on closing weekend so there was a lot of crying) and it’s terrible!
btw period were never a problem for me I never got bad cramps and I don't act weird either
