could try using one whole chromed pipe and bending it into shape to fit. might look a little nicer but still very good

I would have like to have seen a cleaner cut hole in the fender, and a "mailbox" tip on the snorkel top with some mesh to stop the big stuff and critters from getting down the pipe. Other than that it looked pretty clean, although I grit my teeth when seeing holes put into a factory Toyota lol. They make their own rust holes over here in Canada and I HATE seeing any more holes

haha ive seen a few people put socks n things like that over the inlet at the top to help filter the dirt and crap out of the air. i wanted to put a snorkel on my car since my driveway at home gets really muddy in winter and you need to use 4wd to get out onto the highway and some spots my driveway is flooded and goes over the bonnet of my 98 pajero and that has a 4" lift on it so the water gets pretty deep. and it has wasted my money to get it fixed when it does break down.

Sometimes yes and sometimes no, last trip we had I ended up with a pound of mud int eh air box, should have a prefilter to tell you the truth. Thanks for watching!

top bit is ment to be facing forward but it is a good custom setup tho

I nice solution to that issue is that you can try and use an ammo box for a larger caliber ammo since they come airtight to ensure no debris can get on the round to jam the weapon and it's fast and easy to clamp and unclamp.

Yes I will be doing that, I had one on my Safari snorkel but it wouldnt fit this one - have to find one that has a 4 inch opening and flows enough.

go Donaldson filter solution . they have mushroom type canister in many styles.Top notch quality.They make filtration systems for INTEL, NASA, BOEING and so on.

@elitecssplayer "Catching" air does absolutely nothing - like a ram, it actually doesn't ram anything, there is no boost in air pressure from forward movement so there is really no advantage to it. I pointed it backwards so it doesn't catch leaves trees and dirt. I' ll be putting a mushroom type canister on it when i can find one that flows enough air. thanks for watching!

At the top, where the there is the last piece of sillicone bend, why not face it the other way to 'catch' the air?

nice vid, very clear and well made. im fiollowing a link here from mud to see your sliders? not sure what vid theyre in. a question about the snorkel, water is gojng to trickle down that pipe into the airbox, have you a way to drain it or is there something im missing?

@Coolesttech well at this point i am using the oil filter cartridge - spin on type. I will be cutting it and filling with fine steel wool - apparently it works perfectly. just need to find the time:)

@lshobie How are you filtering the blow-by? What kind of filter? I'm thinking of doing the same on my HDJ81. I heard it can sometimes reduce exhaust smoke.

@Coolesttech no impact at all, it usually goes in to the air can anyway, I just did it to keep it sealed from the water. The oilfilter I am hoping will collect the oil from blow-by.
