A fellow Giver commented that if you move your jaw side to side you can equalise with the Seaview 180 Full Face Snorkel Mask. Says in the description about being able to go completely underwater. Maybe you could give that one a review if you're able to get them to send you one.
Thanks so much for the videos
I'm just asking cause I'm looking for a snorkel for my trip to the Pacific Islands but I remembered I hated having to grip my mouth on the regular ones and also hated having to make sure I don't accidentally go a tiny bit under the water so I don't choke on water haha

I know that it doesn't work with everyone, but it works in my case.
It frees your hands, but sometimes it takes time to gather enough
saliva in your mouth in order to swallow :)

It's very similar to yawning with your mouth closed.
I use this method to temporarily alleviate the feeling of clogged ears due to eustachian tube dysfunction. Sadly, I cannot dive as a result of that condition; diving with eustachian tube problems is highly discouraged due to the risk of inner ear problems as a result of being unable to properly equalize.
It might make more sense to look up equalization via eustachian tube.

With the spit method I am literally hearing the exact opposite of this. I've hear you rub spit in with a small amount of sea water and DON'T rinse at all. The people who have recommended this have all sworn it to be the only way it works, so I am not sure who is right! lol
so try that

it just needs a practice. Catch yourself on yawning, and feel those muscles which do that. At the end, you do not need to move the jaw or tongue to engage those muscles, but jaw movement and tongue movement really may help, tested it now and yeah, those are definitely good recommendations.
Or imagine a situation when you really wish to yawl, but you really wish to hide the fact that you yawl, that engages those muscles you need.
I remember as the kid it was the hard part to catch what needs to be done, but in the subway, you need that often enough(in the place where I live) to have an incentive to learn and time to practice.
Also, you block the nose channel the same way as when you speak or blow cheek's
The best way I can describe is that it's like yawning without fully opening the mouth (cuz you'll enjoy a mouth full of water if you do). I can do it without opening my jaw, but its a little harder to get results. I also find that it also helps to tilt my chin up as it naturally pulls down the tongue and throat slightly.
it has to be a clicknoise right in the ear
i can even do it wothout moving the jaw
Voluntary tubal opening (not everyone can learn this due to genetics).
How to do it: Contract the muscles in your soft palate (the back of the roof of your mouth) and throat. It should feel like yawning with your mouth closed, like you might do when trying to be polite during a boring conversation.
What it does: Tensing and stretching the muscles pull the eustachian tubes open. If you get good enough at this technique, you can hold your tube open for continuous equalization.
I don't move my yaw at all, it's impossible to see.
Is it possible for anyone else to equalize with directly controlling the muscles in and around the ear?
Edit: After looking around I found its called BTV. Source (search on Wikipedia "ear clearing," It's the last one in the "methods" section.)

Do have to say, other than that, great videos.
I hope you have a blast when you're down that way.
hmmmm... edit found this little bit
"Voluntary Tubal Opening
Tense Your Throat and Push Your Jaw Forward
Tense the muscles of the soft palate and the throat while pushing the jaw forward and down as if starting to yawn. These muscles pull the Eustachian tubes open. This requires a lot of practice, but some divers can learn to control those muscles and hold their tubes open for continuous equalization."
Thanks!
I subbed anyway, haha.
I can pop my ears just fine using by jaw though...
Baby Shampoo – Here is a defog solution that is catching on in popularity. Baby shampoo is inexpensive, comes in travel size containers, is biodegradable, and won’t sting the eyes. It can be applied directly in small amounts or mixed with water and delivered through a spray bottle. Many charter boat operators are going with the spray bottle solution next to the rinse bucket. The steps, you guessed it, are pretty much the same as above:
• Simply dab or squirt the baby shampoo on the inside lens of a DRY mask and rub evenly with clean fingers (no sunscreen residue– sunscreen will remove the surfactant).
Did you mean if instead of the word of?
Are you gay?
Asking a question like that you must be gay.
