Testing the snorkels is easy without putting you machine in any harm. Just out your hand over the snorkel. If it shuts right off then your system is sealed tight. It'll flood the machine out so just let it sit for 30 min then your good. How I test mine.

Hey Ostacruiser I need a little advice since you have the experience with a maverick turbo. I was sitting in 16' Xrs turbo red/ black tonight at my local dealer and it is awesome. Is there anything you did to be sure that you turbo is sealed up from ever getting water in it? I was thinking i would add snorkels but i am nervous about riding in any mud or water with a turbo. I ride muddy trails and creeks but generally am not in deep water in Pa and WV, USA Any advice would be a great help.

it might be my ears but when you were getting on it heading into the water, it sounded like it doesn't take much to hit the rev limiter unless you bypassed it.

I have a 2013 900xp esp , 5 inch lift, 30 tires.. dura clutch.. love the rig... was thinking on getting the can am xmr.... what would be my best option ? can am turbo and put snorkles .. or xmr ? or polaris 1000 ( no turbo ) .. or keep my 900 wish i love

Definitely a can am turbo. More power. More customization. And it doesn't even have to be a turbo. But if your gunna hit the water choose can am. My Polaris does ok but I wish I had gotten a can am.
