Snorkeling CocoCay is amazing! When in CocoCay you NEED to go snorkeling! CocoCay is Royal Caribbean's own island in the Bahamas... Formerly know as Little Stirrup Cay. CocoCay has AMAZING snorkeling with viz being 100+ ft. The snorkeling area includes two makeshift ship wrecks and two makeshift plane wrecks. We live in South Florida and snorkel / scuba every week. We both agree CocoCay offers some of the best snorkeling we've ever done. For $32 (for the day), guests can rent mask, snorkel, fins and vest to explore the crystal blue waters. CocoCay requires EVERYONE to wear a vest. Netalia (advance open water) and I (rescue diver) brought our own snorkeling gear, but rented vests ($6)......instead of inflating, we sucked the air out of them! Snorkeling CocoCay is a must if you're on Royal Caribbean! Make sure to explore under the lifeguard stands, too. http://SinkFloridaSink.com Snorkeling CocoCay | Royal Caribbean | Snorkel Coco Cay Bahamas Music by: Carlos Saura - A Lomos del Dragon Blanco (To Loins of the White Dragon)
Yeah I'm not really sure what caused them to be out in such numbers, once you got to about 40 yards out, just before the watch tower, you hit a wall of the bastards. I tried to navigate it but after several stings and the jellies only getting denser I turned back. Shame, I really wanted to see some of the fish you caught in your video.
Even with that being said, this is still a great place to snorkel.
The island requires you to have a vest on... I'm a rescue diver and I had to wear one lol.
