I had my best day yet snorkeling the Boise River! Found an iPhone, fishing rod, Ray Ban sunglasses, lures and even a good cheese stick! Many people think that floating the Boise River is a nice, relaxing trip. Actually, there are places where the river throws you against the bank, overhanging trees, shallow side routes you should not take, and small rapids and waterfalls! People who don’t know this bring all kinds of possessions with them on their rafts, and when they get tipped over, they lose everything! Throw in a little alcohol and things really get sketchy! This makes the river a great place for snorkelers. One guy patrols the river bottom almost every day in the summer and has found 16 GoPros in his lifetime! Not counting all of the phones, jewelry and other goodies! So follow along as I have my best day of snorkeling and trout fishing on the Boise River! By the way……I did not eat the cheese stick……. John Gonsalves in Caldwell there is some ponds called the rotory ponds there are two ponds and the boise river flows right by it it's a pretty good spot

John Gonsalves I just moved here too but it looks like it's all along the green belt. Best place for urban fishing. You can easily walk up and down the river for miles!

I missed a note ? 6 times in that same spot had to get out and walk up stream several times before i gave up with the scuba suite and all was to much to get out that many times ... i found 4 iphones in a ziplock replaced the screens and battery sold them all even the first one to find the old car at the first dam its on the left 100 ft before first dam from put in ......yes its a blast i have found more phones cloths glasses and ores then i can count .....good luck and hope to see you some time ...pick the glass out of the river thats how and what i started on and felt the phones and stuff were just a bonus like a gift for good deeds as you will but the objective has always been glass and metal 2" square neo magnet collects alot of stuff.....sincerlly carl fuller (wifes account)

i as well do the same thing except i figure if there that stupid to take a 500 dollar phone on the river and to lazy to get it out there self then its mine you can buy them back from me on ebay (icloud lol and any lock codes are removed ) samsung activation it can all be bypassed .....besides my purpose has always been to remove the metal and glass from the river the phones are just a bonus ,, and abundent i think i got 25 or 30 this year but that was only a few trips avg about 3 phones , even found a bike laptop and car ! yes im the one who reported the car took them all day to find it even told them exactly ware it was exactly lol

+Ace Videos they raft, paddle board, canoe. Payette lake has alot of boaters. a friend of mine scuba dives for work there, says it's full of sunglasses and lost stuff. I metal detect alot around here.

have any tips to be able to snorkel in deep waters? Im kinda afraid of what lies beneath cause of scare movies and all...idk... just any tips for where to look or how to be able to go down deep would help a lot!

longer time you spend in the water your body and lungs start to adapt and you will be able to go down deeper and longer my advice is dont try to go down in the river its to fast you will run your head into a rock boise river has large fish none of which will bother , bite ,or eat you lol....best to face your fears head on full force go at night and stay as long as you can then after you realize nothing ate you lmao going in the day time will be a breaze ...stay close to the shore check out the plants and rocks and you will be distracted every once in a while you will see a decient fish and it will give you a spooke and rush as it runs away ...the more often the the easier it gets pretty soon your chasing them ...good luck stay safe and have a friend with you

As you do it more and more, you will find you can just hold your breath longer from the practice. You also get comfortable being that deep so your adrenaline is not pumping and you are not using up extra energy. So basically, if you just do it frequently, you will get better! I go on vacation for 3 weeks or more to Hawaii every year and when I first arrive, I can only hold my breath for like 25 seconds, but by the end of the vacation, I can hold my breath for about a minute so I can go deeper.
