This video is taken with GoPro 3+. We were staying at 7-mile beach and decided to drive to Rum Point to snorkel for the day. We stopped along the way to see the blue iguanas. We first snorkeled along starfish point to see the giant starfish. After this we stopped at a beach at Rum point and asked if we could swim to the barrier reef. We were given a buoy with a flag that we swam with so that boats could see us. The current made swimming a bit more difficult. We swam about a half a mile in total, almost to the barrier reef and back. I also brought some squid to feed the fish and this made them swarm around us. We saw two eagle rays, some barracuda, a spiny lobster, lots of conch snails, and tons of colorful reef fish. The reef seemed very healthy. well made, i go in december and january. the water is too choppy and not that clear at rum point when i go. i have the hardest time getting a good shot when on the waverer. i need a good waverer mount lol..

The place at the beach is called Red Sail Sports. They are great. They are all over Cayman. I live on Grand so trust me, I know!

+Halee Rockwell We asked at this place that rents kayaks and snorkels at Rum Point Beach. I don't remember what the place was called. We didn't rent anything we just asked them for a buoy so that we could swim out to the reef.

Great videos Josh. We are staying near Rum Point at Kaibo Yacht Club during Memorial Day weekend. Securing the camera was a brilliant idea. I have a gorillapod that I will weight to the bottom with a 2 lb soft lead ankle weight for scuba.

+Noelle Tijerina I used a gorilla pod and wrapped it around a rock which I swam around with. I placed the rock on the reef where I wanted to video.
