What I don't get is why the fuck are snorkels even useful. If all you do is breathe air when you get back to the surface, why the hell do you need the snorkel in the first place!? Honestly! All you have to do is pop your heads over the water, you breath. It's the exact same thing!!! Only without the stupid, useless, money grabbing, greedy ass snorkels! They're useless!!

My point in breathing under water is that you can't see me from above but if I can't go that deep till they can't see me there's no point just stay above the surface

while i personally see no point in snorkelling myself, i can see the use of it to others, if you just want to float along a reef or something and watch the fish or whatever without having to constantly hold your breath they'd be good but if you want to go down it's no different.

That's the point of snorelling. If you want to breath under water, you get diving gear. Snorkelling is for surface swimming. If you get water in the tube, you spit it out. You hold your breath to dive down during your snorkelling. It is terrific and opens up your world to the world beneath the surface.

The only thing I see it being useful for is if you're looking for something and don't want to be inconvenienced by repeatedly lifting your head above water, but other than that yeah, they suck pretty hard (see what I did there?).

I love my snorkle and goggles but im just scared to go under water. im afraid of swallowing water ifni accidently inhale. so i just snorkle on the surface where i know the tube is out of the water. also im terified of floating on my back if i dont have a snorkle mask on. cuz im afraid i might breath in water.
