@82648947 THAT'S THE WAY IT WAS in the old days. There were only a handful of marine biologists in the world in 1967. Imagine forty years from now the kids will be saying how terrible our individual carbon footprints were in 2011. All that electrical energy to fill a scuba tank, the UN-rationed air travel everyone did, the damage long swim fins did to coral, the plastic bags that did not decompose underwater fast enough and so on. It's an evolution. Loltte was doing her best at the time. :-)

I used to watch Hans and Lotte on TV when I was slightly younger. Watching Lotte here I didn't realise they were such underwater vandals! Watch as she cuts her fingers to ribbons at 1:48 trying to uproot a coral, and her hands are all over coral in general, which damages or even kills it. Tridacna pulled up at 2:28. I am surprised they didn't harpoon the manta at 3:00 to finish off!!
