The kid´s about 2 yards into waist high water with nobody near him as far as I can see. The waves are little and don´t look too strong. He´s pretty much exactly where he should be if you ask me. He IS sticking to the ripples and letting the big dogs eat...maybe do a bit more eating and a little bit less barking there, big dog.

mate i started by having a few lessons, try and book yourself a couple of day sessions to teach you the basics of what to do then you can go out on your own and not look like an idiot and learn from your mistakes.

I've been skateboarding for 8 years now and I was curious to know how well I, if at all well, I could take up surfing, so I asked a few employees from a few different shops and they pretty much said I "shouldn't have any problem at all" when it comes to surfing. But the board I have is a short board; will I be able to surf almost as good as I can skateboard?

This is what EVERYBODYS first time looks like... Unless you have a friend who gives you a few pointers.... like how to lay on the board, how much should the nose be sticking above the water line.... paddle paddle paddle hehehe....
