Fiz essa trip com um amigo alemão durante o inverno há 25 anos atrás. Na época eu estava morando na Ericeira e decidimos conhecer a costa do Alentejo e Algarve. Tudo deserto. Muitas ondas solitárias e pequenos vilarejos pelo caminho. Me lembro bem do surf em Arrifana, Zambujeira do Mar e Ponta Ruiva. Claro que em nenhum pico eu peguei as ondas que estava acostumado a pegar na costa da Ericeira e Peniche mas a trip valeu a pena. Sou muito grato a Portugal pelas ondas, comida e pelos amigos que fiz durante minha vida no país.

I also dislike people on the dole unless there is some kind of disability.

, All the beaches are in algarve, some of then on the south coast and the others the west coast (costa vicentina). If you come to surf, book a place to stay in Vila do Bispo, from there you can go to 90% of the beaches that appear in the movie.

The sequences from the water as well as those from the beach (tripod mounted, long lens) of the surfers is EXCEPTIONAL. Truly as good as any large budget surf film. Simply extraordinary. Wonderful work, from the cinematography, to the editing and soundtrack.
