I don't surf, but judging by the location that we was on that wave and based upon how that wave breaks, that was the wrong place to be. Many blessings to you and your recovery sir. The image is a bit cropped here. After seeing the uncropped version, I don't understand why he goes to his left instead of going straight. Going left was going straight for a wipeout.

Do wipeouts get any worse? This should win wipeout of the millennium, unless someone goes over the falls at 50 foot Mavericks, lands butt first on the tip of his board, gets stuffed into an underwater cave, pulls the cord and gets a 60-footer on the head just as he hits the surface..

This was the shittiest release ever by any jet ski driver; the best classic example of what NOT to do, he put Andrew in the path of almost certain harm, and there's the result

Hahaha...no actually, I've ridden big waves myself but not of anywhere this size though the same applies in all size waves only the consequences and danger multiples as the wave size increases but think as you wish... Maybe your user name C is for Coucher!

Actually Andrew put himself in the path of certain harm by not setting the path (left or right) and sticking to it from the top down. Once the decision is changed once (let alone twice or 3 times it seems in the video) one puts him or her self in danger because one's speed and continuous flow is compromised resulting in place one's self in the position Andrew ended up in. The disruption of speed (being slowed) in connection with the direction being altered 2-3 times was what caused Andrew to end up in the position he did where the lip literally came down on his tail/body.

I'm sure if Andrew is asked he will more or less say the same thing as I've written here and I'm hoping he is ok and also wishing him all the best for a speedy, and the best, recovery possible from the injury that occured, both physical and psychological!
