I love her attitude and charisma in the face of adversity, it's humbling to me. Every time I listen to her speak so openly on a tragic time in her life, it reminds me of how she's much the wiser and even stronger than she was prior to that day. Now, we need to find this girl an arm because if she can do this with one arm with ease... she could move mountains with two.
It's one thing to live in a Hawaii s saying, "no regrets,", but it's another to live life that way. What an excellent human being she is and so humble.

I'm glad to have gotten to see her on YouTube competing in Sept. 2015 (Round 1 was yesterday) during the Swatch Women's Pro as the wild card!

I had watched videos of her surfing before she lost her arm, She really has a lot of determination to surf with one arm, not to mention the courage it would take after what happened to her. If there was a world championship for one arm surfers she would be the champ. She could beat anybody that has one arm, male or, female. Most people would never get back in the water after experiencing what she did.. She is the most motivational person I know of. She is a really good person, and I have the upmost admiration for her.

Thanks for the motivation and surfing tips. I am one armed surfer too. I didn't lose it. but, I lost the ability to use it. So, its just a piece of flesh that i can't use. But, I am luckier than most people. I lost mine in a motorcycle accident. I hope to get surfing again when i get some money to get a board to try again.

I think this chick is way awesome for continuing her passion for surfing even after such a traumatizing and crippling incident!!!!! With all the little surfing innovations and inventions out there, I'm surprised someone hasn't come up with some kind of small but powerful motor attached to the fins of the board to help surfers get through big breakers as well as help power them into large, fast waves that may otherwise be difficult or impossible while just paddling.
