Okay, because there were a couple of guys who were able to get inside a barrel but just ran out of speed/time and it collapsed on them. Otherwise a great ride. Thanks for posting these videos. It is really fun and relaxing to watch the best athletes in the world.

So what gives? I see so many insane lefts and yet the rights are being singled out as the only wave these guys take note on .

Easy explanation - their location is best to see the barrel for those taking the right. If they were set up on the other side then the rights would be mostly ignored and the lefts would be singled out. You can't be two places at once, but the edge of the breaks goes both ways.

I prefer turning down the music and just listening to the dynamics of the waves and the enthusiastic cries and comments from the crowd. Affords for a more vicarious experience.
