he started way right ????
But hey you can break your neck in 3’ers body surfing too
While that's technically right it's more like it only takes a spoonful of water to drown. Snort yourself a line of water and see how you feel. Regardless though, two inches of water at your feet isn't gonna do anything.
SERIOUSLY,IT WAS HIS HANGING ONTO THE SLED OVER THAT WHITEWATER THAT BROKE HIS BACK.
"Depending on how severe your injury is, you may experience pain, difficulty walking, or be unable to move your arms or legs (paralysis). Many fractures heal with conservative treatment; however severe fractures may require surgery to realign the bones."

Charger not new gen. He has world records.
Looking at the video if he had kept on going up he probably would have missed the lip.
Wrong place at the wrong time
To the people comparing broke arms and sprains to a broken back. Just stop please. To the people saying the impact was the biggest so that’s what did it, also not always the answer. It could have damaged his back weakening it for the smaller but still heavy impacts later to cause the break.
Same principle of why you stabilize someones someone’s head after an impact or injury, it’s not only to protect the neck but if the spine or neck isn’t fully broken but weakened or partially fractured to cause further nerve or spinal damage.
That wave really did damage and he really needed to be isolated and treated, every impact following was the worst thing that could happen.
9 years EMS/Medical experience.
But he spoke about it later and claims the injury occurred on the wipeout.
