Having said that, in and emergency, ANY perishable food is worth shit. So fighting over bacon is gross and stupid. Dried foods, tinned foods, preserved foods, yes. Nuts, Flour and other grain products? Yes. Perishables that need a fridge? You are fighting for your soft lifestyle, not your life.

LOL I have never seen people do this in the U.S. From my experience when "a hurricane rolls around" a bunch of fat asses clear all the food in the stores, fighting for the very last piece of bacon ( no joke, I have seen this) and run around flipping each other off and swearing.
