Wow, just wow! I hope that more surfers (or any people, really) will see this and think, yeah, cool - let´s help some guy or girl who would love to be with us but can´t unless we help them. This video can really help to make a change for disabled people, help to include them more.

I think the last scene of her in this video is in a harness. If he wasn´t strong enough to support her he wouldn´t have been able to walk or even get out there on the board. But clearly they both knew the risk.

What would be inspirational would be to teach her how to surf herself. Paraplegic people can ski, right, why not surf? Doesn't she have use of her arms? Or at the very least put her in some kind of harness that has a release mechanism so she could escape.

This is an awesome video, and kudos to the surfer for taking her out. :) Surfing without any additional weight takes a huge amount of skill from pretty much every body system, so surfing with an adult on your back would be pretty damn hard I would imagine! :)

As a surfer, I'm not sure the harnesses would be safer than the duct tape. The beauty of the duct tape is that she is pretty much using his muscles. It seems like the harness would be less secure, IMHO.
