@marcoscotland1 care to explain why? the reason this advert is near universally hailed as the best ever is because of the power of it. I dont know any audience that when they watch it, isnt gripped by the story unfolding how effective is that, we see a minute of this man's story and you can learn from him I'm not being argumentative? im just explaining reasons why its such a good advert so in your opinion what advert is better? the only one that i can think comes close is the john lewis 2010

The main use of using white and black was to try and symbolise the Guinness colours.. As a glass of Guinness is black and white, Black being the main liquid and the whtie being the foam on the top... They try to create the advert a bit like their glass... If you go to 0:16 you can see, with imagination, the slight representation of the Guinness glass.. With the white foam of the sea being the foam on the glass...

this is by far the greatest drinking ad ever, just shows you how great guinness is, i have been drinking this stuff for 29 years, it's all i drink. i even get a free 3 pints on my birthday because i belong to the guinness club!
