The first map I've played was kitsune and I started initially without watching a single tutorial. It took me at least 8 hours to beat Kitsune, the funny thing was, I was only having trouble with the last stage, so one time I decided to start from the beginning to get a better first time than 30 minutes or some crap, so I got lucky and my first completion was 3:10.

Air acceleration should be way higher, generally the higher the value, the easier it is to surf. For easy surfing you want an air acceleration somewhere between 8,000 and 10,000.

I find kitsune's jumps to be less crazy hard than omnific's. My main problem in surfing on tier 4-6s is getting enough speed to do the jumps, not the jumps themselves, so omnific feels harder for me because you need more speed for the jumps than kitsune. I love the style of both of them, being so similar but being on (for me) whole different levels

I played forbidden ad found it easy until the large jump where you have to do a 180 round a wall into a teleporter. Played aircontrol (this was after forbidden so it wasn't when I was a noob and not too far after so I wasn't rusty) and I found it hard to build speed.I also play on tf2 but when I tried it on cs:go it felt easier (e.g. utopia felt easier).

You are suppose to strafe in to the rail to not fall off and you are supposed to strafe towards to where you move your mouse. BUT wat happens when you are on a rail on your left hand side and that rail makes a turn to the right? Strafe left in to rail or strafe right into the where you turn your mouse?! OMGOMG MIND BLOWN! I usually strafe right, or with the mouse movement. Good tutorial, I think that this is the only part you missed :P.
