Dude, take a skateboard wheel and role it all over the grip pad and thats the best way to put pressure on the pads to prevent any bubbles

No, but it's highly recommended. It like the leash, you can go surfing without leash but it's not recommended unless you know what you are doing

I noticed how u talked about how the rope can put a ding in your tail if the board gets pulled away from you. This actually happened to me where I ditched the board a few times to get under a wave I knew I couldn't duck dive. Now I have a Ding in the tail and don't know how to fix it cause it's not a hole so u can't fill it. It has actually put a kind of cut into the tail. Any tips and how I could fix it. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys! I wanna ask something about traction pad. I'm pretty much new to surfing and feeling that I'm not getting much grip from the tail with the wax, should i use traction pad? And what brand of tracpad you guys would recommend that wouldn't tear my knees because I've heard about rashed knees caused by tracpad. Thanks!

+It's Reinhart yes definitely get a traction pad! I hate surfing without one. The softest one I've found was made by Freak, because my knees were getting torn up by other ones too. If you have a local surf shop, you can go there and feel all of the pads to find the softest one.

+APandaLegs a modern fish or a egg shape gives the little bit of extra volume you'll need to make te transition to a shortboard! i recommend the modern fishes from torq, because they are rather cheap, durable (epoxy), have loads of volume, have 5 finboxes, so they stay fun as you progress, since you can ride it as a quad when you become more experienced, and they are very versatile. they claim you can use it from knee to double overhead (I've only ridden them from knee to shoulder, because of dutch shit conditions)
