no long boarders? lol looks like a small fun day.. luckily I live Oahu the only time lineups get crowded when it's tiny.. and when winter comes ns is a traffic jam... lol I could never surf in cold water.. when you've lived in tropical warm waters.. you get spoiled..

Yes, it is an average beach break but when the conditions align it can be pretty damn good. On another note take just about any beach break in Australia and it puts HB to shame, plus the beaches are ten times better looking in OZ.

Where else is better then California? It's quite obvious you have not travelled or stayed in another country for that long. I lived in Australa for 10 years and I can say without question their beaches are so much better than anything HB has to offer. Anyhow to each his own, give me the tropics any day of the year over cold water.

+Tyler U skating That's right you are guessing and I have no idea as what you mean by being paid much. When I first came here I helped set up an animation studio on behalf of an Australian company. Years later, I helped set up another animation studio , this time for an American company, that eventually became the largest animation studio in the world. I have worked though since 1990 as a professional photographer where my work has taken me all over the world. In this day and age you can pretty much live anywhere depending on what you do for work. The best part about living here is the uncrowded surf and when there are people in the line up the vibe is very low key, no friggin mind games. I'm too old for that shit.

I grew up here as a kid and surfed both sides of the pier and I can honestly say I don't miss it at all. I'll take a bad day in the Philippines over anything HB has to offer.

+kenous atuss Northern and central Philippines are very safe, I know there is some good surfing in Northern Luzon and in Sumar but I'm not sure what seasons are best.

Southern Mindanao can be dangerous as it is predominantly Muslim and is in pretty constant conflict with the Phil. Gov. over land disputes.

Worst play to surf, definitely packed with a bunch of materialistic surfers, who think they are the shit. That place is horrible, Ive surfed around 13 countries, and I will never go back to H.B even tho I was born and raised a few miles away.
