WSL wants their surfers competing at the highest level. from my understanding there is no testing and they dont care.
My question to you Fidel.... do you care of surfers take PEDs? I have had this conversation with a number of people and even some pro surfers. Some people dont even care.
Someone compared surfing to golfing. He said how much assistance would PED give golfers? He compared surfing to having more skill then anything else.

My personal knowledge of Kelly(I was in Hawaii for 5 years during the winter contests) is he used to have a few beers, back in the day, when socializing, but now drinks nothing. He likes to go to bed early. He likes sweetened cereal(although this could be different now) for breakfast, eats plenty of protein and, for the most part, avoids junk food. There's nothing more I can say except the burden of proof is on you since you made the claim that he's taking "something".
He is the best that ever is and was.... no one comes close... love watching him surf. But if you ask me if a 44 year old man can compete naturally on that level.... i would say your bat shit crazy...
The only arena you see 44 year olds winning, is golf, car racing, and bowling.. If you are telling me surfing is on the same level of physical exertion as golf and bowling this conversation is over.
lance also made the same claims. If USADA says hes clean.... hes clean... they are the only reputable source. They also caught the un.....catchable.... Bruddah lance.
The logic in me says.... something is fishy.... i have seen competition at the highest levels and what people do to stay relevant. Not always about money....
The only way to know is have USADA test him.... he will never do this. You can believe what you want.. I love watching him surf.... like I said, the question is if you care or not he is taking PED. Some guys dont care.... but I am in the camp that its BS. let the new generation do their thing.

I my opinion I think its unfair to the fellas not doing it... at 40 you produce half the amount of testosterone as a 20 year old..... to perform on that level.... Lance Armstrong... tendencies... defying nature....
My guestimate is hes taking something.... Granted he has the best technique probably ever, is an anomaly, I am a huge fan and love watching him surf. I have seen him over a dozen time at the pipe masters. If a surfer is not from Hawaii, I'm cheering for Kelly.
But I bet the farm hes taking testosterone or some other PED. Is it a bad thing.... ???? thats the debate... Personally I think its cheating..... Granted they are not punching each other in the face.... But competition wise?? would he be as competitive if he wasnt taking anything. Surfing is in the Olympics, it will be interesting to see if they test surfers.
The real debate is do you care if surfers take PEDs. Is it ethical or people dont care??
