That's why I hate California, because I always freeze my ass off every time I go there. That's wearing my 3"" fullsuit. I just hate cold water.

Ride frosty! !
Thanks for posting
The boards CHeyne horan rode in the early to mid 80's might be worth a look too. they were very fast and shorter, wider and thicker. Thye looked goofy, but when you ride them they are quite good. excellent in fuller waves. They were singles that tore apart waves like tris.
I surf all types of boards, my fave being single fins shaped in the late 60s tracker, through to the mid 70's souls surfer, but i love twins tris quads, mals, and even boogie boards.
have you thought of trying a finless set up?
maybe the alaia, or the boards shaped by Deryk Hynd. {google deryk hind finless} They may be well suited to the lake waves.
Any way, thanks again for the reply. Stay warm and have fun!
I have often thought that in lakes, especially if they are not Tidal, or have very small ranges in varying depth over the bank, and considering the breaks would usually only have one swell direction that works consistently, that i would be possible to construct an artificial reef that worked perfectly for the position. I grew up on a tidal salt water lake, and would dream about the waves that could be had, on the many points.
I think an artificial reef and a wave machine could be possible in the right lake, and it could be perfection too.
keep up the stoke Loki.. Catch a few for me.
I find this so intriguing.
