How can a wave like that not be crowded ifi it was in So Cal. but Oz has tons of peeling waves vs. our closeouts so these waves are probably below avg for an Aussie..

How much of angle should you paddle into the wave?

onceyouhitthebottomdo a "bottom turn" by using pressure on the back on the board to move it right or left onto the face. If you master this what usually happens is that you loose some speed if you make too much of a quick turn and immediatly after you turn you can run up to the tip of your board and nose ride (if your longboarding) it all comes with practice, I really dont like the systematic approach of teaching surfing.
