Its a POINT break. Do you surf? If you do, you should know that point breaks "break" in one direction (if you don't surf, now you know). Good way to get your clock cleaned (by the wave or more likely an infuriated surfer) is by going the wrong direction on an epic wave like Honolua Bay. and yes, I have surfed Honolua Bay on a good sized day and on a longboard too. Thank you Hawaii and your people.

Well, before there were little boards there were big boards and they rode all sizes of waves with those big board, Pipeline, Wiamea, Sunset Beach, etc.

Mainland longbaording = small, long waves like Malibu Hawaiian longboarding = big, heavy waves like Maui

This is off the point, you can't go left there without going right into the rocks. Other breaks just north you can go left but this one is the wave everybody wants.

funny how lb'ers look so cruisey on the small stuff in comparison to shorties, then it's the complete opposite on the bigger waves. (this is in no way dissing lb'ers, just an observation, must be harder dealing with that chop too.)

@blopiful you turn board over, hold rails and wait and watch til white water gone, and then flip back over and paddle fast before next wave or set hits ya. i do it all da time wen paddlin out on ma 7 '8 brah
