I wonder what happened to the guy at 5:05 taking a 20ft wave on the head! I've surfed ulus at 8-10 and had a big set break in front of me. Heaviest thing I've ever experienced, no point trying to duck dive or attempt to hold on to your board when the wave hits you at big ulus. Just take a deep breath, dive as deep as you can and try not to panic. My leg rope snapped like a rubber band with the first wave and I lost my board, copped another 5 waves on the head, hit the bottom, nearly drowned, had to swim and bodysurf a 4ft shore-dump over coral. Luckily had my booties and a spring suit on so didn't lose too much flesh and miraculously a local surfer had saved my board. Now double the wave size!

Verga gruesa that brother deserves the 6pack. Lucky he wasn't with a brother dying to drop knee this face. Like 25 face easy. He take off you know we behind him, I got third you go second. and to make it more legendary this video was filmed and the spot was shifting towards the right getting bigger and the peak moving longer down the shore. I couldn't believe the jetski going somewhere else, once that ski is going somewhere else you know the face is shifting. tide is getting higher and the swell moving to the next spot. The next wave.

It´s so hard to keep in mind that beneath this monster of a wave, lays razer sharp ULU reef. I remember it eating away my fins on low tide, huge respect for surfing it at that size. THANKS FOR SHARING

lockodonis you just a hater that has never and probably will never get a barrel drop knee on a bodyboard gripping rail better than a surfboard. Deeper wit the vipers for coast guard on on a 13 foot face on 2 inches of water on reef motherfucker, RAW ROCK fall slice your body. no mistake surfing, reef rocks crevices. smacking your face at 7am in the morning cold as fuck water. you's a pussy. It takes mad dedication to grip the rail like a paul roach and get fucking shacked going left, Im from the carribean, I ride left backside pussy boy knee outwards goofy going left on the bodyboard. Im looking for that barrel at like 20 face dragging my hand deep on the face to look for curtain time. No snaps no carves, backside drop knee all the way down that half a mile. flying 20mph. high on the face low on the face light on the hand heavy on the hand higher on the face barrel ridden to the shoulder, forcing a barrel ride with my brake power of my hand. lol. Respect to that sponger. he has the biggest dick and the free six pack. get drunk mofukass. you have no idea what in perfection learning drop knee making riding surfboard better than most surfers for getting barrel ridden. In a surfboard im up on underneath the curtain with the knees with no mistakes. on fins and fiberglass, without the boogie I would never learned to catch a wave in fiber glass. The knees most surfers don't know how to balance themselves off the snap and the vertical bodyboarders/surfers with drop knee experience immediately first try get on that surfboard. 1/1 like golf a putt. Shacked in your face with a surfboard pussy boy in and out of the barrel first try in your face with your board. Knee perfectly center hand dragging deep in the face, perfect escape stand up turn turn snap or jump out the back. All barrel rides thanks to that boogie you think are shark biscuits. The same concept paddle paddle knee up grip rail with your left hand close to the nose lay that rail and slay bitch. Without drop knee experience I would never be able to get across vertical or BOWL sections of wave on a surfboard let alone vertical or below the ceiling takeoff. Boogie is life, boogie will open the doors to everything. Just wait until its huge to come out with your surfboard wait until its double overhead to catch your first waves on a surfboard and make sure its fucking barreling. Dont stand up drop knee the bowl, drop knee the biggest waves of your life first on a surfboard double overhead. Learn your barrel. Drop knee on a boogie will change your life and open the doors to everything. So swiftly, One two, front leg up knee down grip rail hand on face underneath the curtain all the way down. Surfboards are SLOWER when dropping knee than the boogie. SLOWER. Your about to get shacked when you learned drop knee with fins on a bodyboard first. Your first right waves shacked drop knee on a bodyboard are the regular stance executions you will require to take off the biggest waves of your life going right. Keep the knee if its a barrel one two and diet because you need to be skinny to move faster and float more. You wanna get barrel HUG the water on a closeout. and make all the girls on the sand get topless. HUG the water use your shoulder and arm power to slow your self to zero and close your eyes lol. let go and make sure you hid yourself in the white wash fully before coming out from behind the lip and repeat 100 times lol! facing that curl, drag your forearm arm and shoulder so deep in the wall you disappear off all the waves. I ride waxless boy lol. Brand new shit no wax. Like god likes it. Pure material.

rather you're a fan of sponges or not I just respect him paddling in. I'm not a big fan of tow surfing adding a motor to surfing just seems wrong and takes away from the soulful experience of surfing in my opinion

Everything is all about stalling and getting tubed these days. Going for the picture to make a career. It starts to all look the same after awhile. Racing a wave down the line is so underrated. This has that. At size. So awesome.
