I am what you call a traditional climber. Its the real fucking deal. This style of surfing is the only thing in the world that I would admit is more real deal than traditional ground up climbing! Nazare's waves are crazy crazy huge! I used to go to North Shore Oahu durring winter, those waves I thought were large.

Nazaré's waves are, actually the biggest ones, up to 34m high. This happens due to a massive undereater canion that approaches towards the promontory, so the tide waves are redirected up to a center point, at south beach direction, so, at that point the water amounts get together and clashes on!

I personally think, though these are very big, Jaws and Teahpu look much better to surf... these have a very shallow barrel.

so fucken big! I was in narare 1992 and thought i could catch something 30ft plus... needless to say one of the scariest drop ins of my life!!! Wouldn't do gnarly shit like that again haha but i made it in shore didn't need the skis so mission accomplished
