The best surfing theme. When I purchased Alpha Sapphire it was the first pokemon I owned featuring the Hoene Region. I loved the cities, scenery, and the easy going music, Hoene has the best soundtrack

Ah, back when I surfed to explore the region, rather than just to get from point A to point B. Back when I encountered "new" pokemon for the very first time in the games themselves, rather than seeing them on the internet first before actually playing the game. Back when people believed in mass rumors like mew under the truck, that the abandoned sunken ship was actually the SS Anne, "mewthree", what was behind that secret door in Sootopolis, secret underwater caves, or that infamous white rock in Mossdeep City. Oh, and suddenly finding braille and not knowing what to to. Haha.
Back when the games were a little bit more mysterious.

@InvaderNebu 1. Most water areas are just water with occasional rocks for borders, and this is amplified in Hoenn by the amount of water. 2. For the same reason that the blandness is amplified, you will probably run out of Repels.

This was the best of the surf themes in my opinion. Before anyone tells me that I'm just biased because I'm 12, you should know that I'm 20, and first gen will always be the best. I flew back and went through three different currents. I liked how you can see the player on top of a pokemon. Though I do miss the lapras, this makes it seem as if your hovering above the water.

Man, did this game have a lot of sea routes. I thought it was okay, but I got lost from time to time, which annoyed me. Hoen really gives off that tropical feeling doesn't it?

Nope, they don't die - because the saving function doesn't rely on the battery. It'll still work no matter what.

Well On R/S/E the internal battery can die which is still safe but means clock based events will no longer occur E.G. berrys growing I think FR/LG doesn't die out and D/P/P/HG/SS cannot die out because the DS gives the games there times

Sadly, yes, Emerald's internal battery does die after so long :/ -found out the hard way-. Same for LeafGreen. D/P/P are fine, and I assume HG/SS are the same, but I've heard that G/S/C's internal batteries don't last too long :/.

The internal batteries inside Gold and Silver usually die after about 6-7 years. This also occurs with Crystal's battery , but less often. Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald use a different type of internal memory storage, so the batteries usually last a very long time. DS games don't even use save batteries.

You got pirated copy of the game, because original uses flash save and you can't lost your save with it. Best surfing theme

I remember just hopping on my Goldeen and surf around just to hear this song, BUT A STUPID TENTACOOL WOULD ALWAYS COME UP AND ATTACK ME MID SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Moral of the story, I hate Tentacools.

It's a good thing that the surfing music was good because if there's anything I hated R/S/E for was the amount of surfing you had to do. The nightmares of trying to find everything and all the Tentacools that you will run into *shudder*
