What makes this version special is that it highlights the amazing ukulele skills of Jake but we also get to see Lopaka showcase his talents as a percussionist during his fantastic solo. Here's a bit of behind the scenes info...at the very end of the song, Lopaka turns over his rain stick. What you don't see because the video fades out is that the rain stick goes on FOREVER! It was going on so long that all three of them and the crew stared at the thing waiting to see how long it would continue, all the while trying not to laugh so we wouldn't ruin the take. What a clean rendition. Very beautiful! I remember at a concert a few years ago, Jake said he had to use the strap because he had some muscle pain due to being scrunched over all the time.

+Rjbopper I remember him saying that either he made it or had someone else make it for him. It might also function as a pick-guard but it's mainly for his shoulder strap. It pops right out too. It's pretty cool. If it were for sale, I'd definitely buy one so that way I don't need to have a strap button on the neck.

Hey Rjbopper. I think Jake made that thing. It's attached to the strap so it comes off when he takes the strap off. It just hooks into the hole.
