I like that cover.
I like that font.
I like that.
My favourite track is "Sky High" but I can't help myself from noticing that it sounds exactly like "Sailing" by Christopher Cross from 1979

What genre is it?
Which Sample??
thanks!
Play the linked video on mute and listen to this at the same time.
"It's as if all the music we've left behind, abandoned effectively; has come back- degraded, mellowed and compromised, yet the damaged sound is refreshing. "
That's not vaporwave, that's Boards of Canada.
"not genuine music"
i dont think it worst than "genuine music" just because they use one song to create another
Fire your marketing team. If you are trying to showcase a synth, leave the cheezoid guitars and drums out. What the hell? Show us what the synth can do. You did it for the Keystep., you can do it for this, even if it's only a teaser.
Sincerely, a fan who is mystified by your marketing decisions.
I mean my parents always listened to a lot of 80s music, that might explain that, but still, this stuff makes me feel like I was around.
I've never been in the 80s and as soon as I heard this I felt a connection
Damn man, that's w a v e f u l
I call that, virtual circle-jerks and extreme post-modernism.

Air's 10,000 Hz Legend comes to mind as being just a flawless merger of art, title, and the music itself.
i'm making a bunch of reports right now and this keeps the static out of my head perfectly, or rather, it overshadows unnecessary thoughts.
They called it Chillwave back then. It's really just an extension of the same genre.
Keith Mansfield 'Before Summer ends'
That's a mouthful, let's go with vapor-gaze
Good stuff mate, I especially enjoy the songs Moonlight, Dubai, End of the Night and Killed a man.

It's originally from Keith Mansfield 'Before Summer Ends'
Lazerhawk is awesome though.
And nobody has mentioned the album Neo Cali by Vektroid here
I had a huge dive into this genre, lemme throw a few your way that you are missing (my favs, actually):
OGRE - 195
VHS Glitch - Evil Technology (probably the single best album of the NRW)
MACINTOSH Plus - Floral Shoppe (this is vaporwave, will be closer to this S U R F I N G stuff)
and anything by Lazerhawk!
the Album ends at the fucking space
28:00 ??? what song plzzz???

Afternoon driving, yeah, but if this gets played during my 6AM commute, I'll have my face on the steering wheel and a 10 car pileup with my name on it.
. Oh and it also seems that Sky high is Cristopher Cross' Sailing. I don't even mind sampling but sometimes it is just too obvious.
and where are you from, chris? O.o
The only thing I understood from you
Whats your goal? Are you ill? Rest my friend, take a depth breath and let the air take you. We all love you, everything is perfect always.
80s drums slwd down, some "yaaaasss" in bckgnd and hips all around dncng n da music, xpiring time and rolling ova japanesse hills.
ビジネスの幸福、喜びと陽気法人
you just went full retard.
what the fuck did you try to say there... like Jesus my head hurts.
Hit The Spot samples "Kenny G - Sade"
Lifetime samples "Eugene Wilde - Personality"
You can use almost any program to make vaporwave, I've once made a vaporwave track using Sony Vegas.
The more you do it, the better you get at it.
Have fun with it, even if you don't get there as soon as you'd hoped to, it will make you appreciate music more.
digital media is an easy and inexpensive place to start i.e. DAWs and virtual synthesisers (VSTs) but you might find you want to eventually work with analog equipment in the long run.
I'm not even sure how or why Tobacco just got compared to Neon Indian. One of those is for chillin and the other is for making love to your brain with a chainsaw coated in DMT.
nice
