Hey man, I just bought the GoPro Hero 5 Black. And I heard that it can be used underwater untill 10 meters deep. Does this mean this will work without a housing/case? Not even the little case the GoPro has on it while you buy it. Thanks man! Inspired by your video's and most of all, being motivated!

Yep that's correct. I used GoPro Hero 5 during my trip to Bali and it does not need any housing, because it already has it in the camera. But considering that it's been 3 weeks since you commented, I think you've already found that out :-)

There is a few ways to get under a wave:
1. Do a a push up on the board and the water will go over the board and under you.
2. Flip the board upside down and hold on to it with your hands,while being under the board so the waves go over the smooth side of the board.
3. Go on your knees close to the back of the board, the front will go right over the wave.

I've been surfing long boards for 4 years and I'm only 11- cheers

Your videos are serious fun to watch. I am a filmmaker and am still using the Panasonic GH2 along with Voigtlander 17.5mm, 25mm & 42.5mm F/0.95 lenses. I also used 7 other lenses including the Samyang 10mm T3.1 Ultra wide angle and the other are Olympus & Pentax vintage prime lenses. I'm waiting for the GH5 & Will purchase the Go Pro 5

Amazing footage! I'm heading back to Asia for 12 months of backpacking next year, hopefully longer if I can fund it :) I surf a bit at home and can't wait to take on Bali waves. Tips for next time: you can't duck under waves with a long board like that, my tip would be to get the board over them. Press down on the back of it so the tip points up in the air over the wave then press your body weight on it to keep it from being swept back. Your stand up technique was perfect though! :)

Christian im here since like 25k subs and I loved all your videos since then, but latley there is a lot of lauras butt in the videos. I dont care for the thumbnails since I watch the video anyway and if it helps to get clicks its fine, but I would much more prefer the beach without her ass infrot of me all the time.
Dont want to sound rude or tell you what to do, but there is a lot less jesus in the vlogs now. Actually nothing since u were in the philipines and that one video everyone was complaining about. To be clear, the gopro was filming 4K for most shots but the exported file is 1080 so you do not get the full benefits of the 4K quality. (slow motion was filmed at 1080p 120fps). Overall, this is an AMAZING camera!

Im sure you will get tons of comment about the surfing thing.. But if you push the board down at the front of the board before the wave gets to you, You can then follow the board down with your body.. That way there is impact from the way, So you should get further. Its almost like you are about to do a push up on the board, but lean forward while pushing down.
