The thing I love MOST about your vlog is that, besides the insane lingo, you and Jordan are just regular people. Everyday folks that have been blessed to do what you love. Brings back great memories from '96, three weeks in Foo's Zoo, across from Rubber Ducks. Swore I'd be back the next year, and still haven't made it. Fortunately, we postponed return flight and got to see A.I.'s first Pro win(HIC-PIPE), that he skipped school to compete in. Stay over, a day or two, if you can swing it. You just never when you may may get back. A sunset from Burial Monument above Waimea would be nice to see again. Keep Livin' Your Awesome Dream.

You should try Ted's Bakery, they have the best breakfast in the North Shore. Last month my wife and I were exactly the same spot where you were in Sunset beach, we had so much fun with the shore breaks but it took the whole day to get the sand off us lol.

Please describe a little more the spots you surf. i missed it espacially in the vlogs of the two very famous spots you surfed: kelly slater wave and pipeline. I will never surf both of them in my live. It would have been super interesting to know what it is like to surf these spots. for the kelly slater for example: what is the different to an natural wave? how do you describe or feel the difference of your point the view? the same with pipeline - what is the feeling? there are so many questions they pop just in my mind: how is the current, how shallow is it? does it feel different in way of more power? how difficult to catch? how is the vibe in the lineup with the locals? etc. thank you very much! keep on rolling! I guess going with Jamie into Pipe/Backdoor, you are allowed to catch waves, but if you go alone catching a wave would be very difficult. It was not even crowded .Anyway, you took some 5 foot waves Backdoor, nice barrels ... for the Hawaians that would be 2 foot :-). You could even talk about size. Did you find it dangereous ? We did not hear Jamies advices before you entered the water. Looking forward for the next vlog ... Say hello to your patient girlfriend, you have a diamond there bearing with you all the time. Don't surf any island except Oahu. Lava and tiger sharks. The best right on the North shore is Haleiwa. This is where all the locals surf. Show respect. At sunset use a eight foot board or you end up swimming all day.

I surfed an overhead day at Maalaea Bay on Maui and got shredded on lava reef , paddled back out with bloody back and locals telling me , Brah what happened to you . Not even big today ?
But I got longest freight train right of my life after that . To me it was epic , to them eh just ankle slappers!

I surfed 'Ehukai (literally yards away} on a "flat" day. Got barreled almost full stand up on many waves.......Almost ate it on a few scattered rocks.... Locals were .....well.......mopping their floors, bummed it was flat. Jamie was 8 at the time. I may have even surfed alongside him. There were a few kooky kids in the water as I remember. You, Ben Gravy were 3. Fuck I feel old now.

+867 5309 Lived in Kauai as well and was thinking the same thing .We both know what looks like fun small back door is really pretty scary .Takes a bit to get used to all the heavy water .Was out at Hanalei Bay when the locals were calling it 4 to 6 feet .Paddle out the back only to discover i am not out the back at all and it's more like 12 to 15 feet .Pretty sure they were trying to kill me .
