So this plus sized shark (I'm guessing around 16ft or more from the size of the dorsal sticking out of the water and not seeing the top of the Sharks body at all) is just casually swimming around the pier while other surfers are just sitting calmly on their boards waiting for the next set? And the shark just casually takes the what? 10 pounds or more of rump roast without so much as a shake of the head or start thrashing when it feels 200lbs or more of drag on the meal that he just caught in his jaws? Also kinda curious as to how the "surfer" got his pole back after he threw it in the water with the "bait" attached? Usually when I drop my fishing pole in the water, it sinks! And a loose board with no leash, getting thrashed against the pilings? Didn't break? Oh wait, I guess I didn't realize it was a California great white. Totally laid back bruh!

White sharks don't swim like that in a linear fashion the way marine mammals do. They normal either circle or ascend and descend rapidly. The movie jaws 2 falsey instilled this idea in to the public of sharks swimming in linear fashion at accelerated speeds.

While I understand your point, the shark isn't going to drag that thing around for the rest of it's life >_> it would break away by eventually snapping. Things get stuck in sharks teeth all the time--if a tooth was damaged from the hook, so what if it fell out, there are several more rows of teeth to make up for that sort of things. Regardless of how stupid this is, there's no denying that it's badass.
