People..Sharks dont GAF about land. As long as they aint on it. Off Crystal Beach in Galveston I catch Black Tip Sharks up to 8ft not even 75yds off the shore. Dont know why people want to swim in their habitat. Its like asking a Grizzly Bear to come hangout..on your couch.

This is CAPE COD, you realize that, yeah? These are not JUVENILES that hit the seals, this is a MARINE MAMMAL hunting ground for ADULT great whites and they come in this Close ALL THE TIME to hunt seals at the cape. they patrol right off the gigantic haul out sites all up along monomoy island south of chatham, as close as 10 feet to the shore.

Adults come in within 10 feet of shore ALL THE TIME to hunt seals.

Go do this remarkable thing called a google search, type in "Great White Sharks From Air Cape Cod". See what you come up with pal.
GO ask Dr Greg Skomal
He is the senior researcher on great whites in Cape Cod. He is responsible for the tagging program that has identified over 150 great whites in the area, and you can see his photos, and wayne davis' aerial photos, quite clearly, them patrolling and chasing seals within 10-20 feet of the beach.
They hunt seals everywhere, and patrol right in the shallows and these are NOT juveniles because JUVENILES do not HUNT SEALS*. Juvenile great whites prey upon fish and rays. Great whites do not begin hunting marine mammals until they are *LARGE enough to take them.

These are larger adult white sharks at cape cod that are hitting the seals, not juveniles in the L.A. Bight.
Those juveniles are in the shallows to hunt fish and stay relatively protected from the open ocean and predators.
These adults are off Cape Cod to HUNT seals and they do so, right up to the beach itself.

Scott Hoaglund, nonsense, That was not a juvenile shark that hit a fully grown seal, and you can see plenty of adult great white sharks that close to shore, in places where they hunt seals, such as Cape Cod. There is aerial footage from drones showing them that close, and photos from spotter planes all over the net, with a simple google search
It is perfectly normal to see large great whites come in very close to hunt seals, especially in places like cape cod and south africa.

They have electronic devices that can deter sharks.. Why don't they create a Net (multiple beacons, like light houses that emit the electrical signal ) of them to keep sharks away. Off the shore. there is usually a sand bar.. position it there daily, and monitor them.The fish won't like it. But the swimmers will.

False alarm, folks. Marine biologist here. A postmortem of the seal showed it had consumed an entire bottle of chipotle mustard. Therefore causing it to hemorrhage each time the seal passed gas, unfortunately killing it as a result. The dolphin chasing it is just a coincidence, as it turns out they're also, coincidentally, highly attracted to chipotle.
