Fortunately we are not on their menu and they've been on ours for thousands of years so are rarely seen.
Australia has a reputation for being dangerous but, like anywhere, the danger is in the lack of knowledge. Sure there's plenty of stuff that can kill you, rarely, but apart from crocs there's nothing that will hunt you.
Asia, Europe and the Americas should be so lucky.

This is australia, I have seen something happen like this before.
Australia isn't always exactly what memes say, but these things can happen
Also, its Mackerel
Not sure if it was circling me but my friend who was a little deeper with water just under his chest was the one who saw the fin hanging out the surface of the water and told me it was there, and we both bolted into shore then watched it head back out to deep water.
Size of the fin would have been about one foot long.
Torquay Victoria about thirty minutes from Bells beach.
Even Geelong's Corio bay has a shark proof pool for swimmers because everything is in there, We get a large Seal
that turns up every couple of years ,large stingrays , Dolphins,, Sharks you name it we have it.
news flash- we rule the land, we rule the seas, we rule the skys and now even the edge of fucking space, Top of the food chain means everywhere is our territory.
thats not a right given to humans by god, its a position earnt by competing with every other species for an eternity
, no matter where we go, it was once another species territory. we've earnt that title and i will fucking exercise it.
:)
Also technically it should be ''with' my spelling'
Glad to help :))
So, no connection that you're aware of either - ok. Personally I don't whine about American TV and movies because I expect mainly American content, but I'll give it a go if you like.
Everyone needs to harden up
back to bed kook.
People are still getting mauled and losing their limbs. This is on the news almost every every day down here. you worry too much about statistics and not the actual problem, no one cares about how it compares to car crashes, the fact is, people are less safe in the ocean than they have been.
Sharks do have different personalities so it's pretty hard to find one to trust really.
Yeah but sharks don't attack people that much. If i'd have to choose either a cow or a shark i'd choose a shark because cows kill more people than sharks.
Yeah hard decision i think. Nice answer.
I have no clue whether that's a deadly species or not, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Haha- we'll that's just the way I see it!
Because i think if you yelled out "SHARK!!". Those surfers will shit themselves and i think their movements will aggravate the shark increasing it's reason to attack.
It looked like it was only curious about the people in the water rather than hungry or something.
But that's what it looked like to me.
I hate people that hate Sharks, they Live in the Ocean, We Don't, they Eat in the Ocean, We Don't. Should i go on?
Its like Yes we enjoy the water but going into the Ocean has its Risks, we are Educated on these in School and should weigh them every time we on into the Water. If your a Victim of a Shark Attack its your own Fault, i relate going into the Ocean like Smoking, for some people its something they can't live without but without a doubt it has major Risks.
Also this shark looked like a Grey Nurse which are mostly Harmless to Humans so its most likely Surfers Identified it and ignored it just like it would do of them.
Saying a victim was at fault is simply disrespectful and unnecessary. Nobody is at fault, shark or otherwise.
You seem to look at this as black and white as if there are only two camps of people which is not the case. There are plenty of people who are working to reduce incidents through warning systems, shark shields and more without culling.
My analogy is in response to that assertion.
I use to bodyboard every day until a was hit by a rouge board from a surfer and now I've lost interest in the sport.
Ive never seen a shark in all my years of living on the coast, so why is it i can avoid sharks yet others still swim and surf at the same beaches where people have been attacked multiple times?
Just saying, common sense prevails. Why resort to killing anything as our first options, i don't care if they are just sharks, killing is killing, knowing your killing when you could be preventing is just wrong in my mind. Every creature was put on this planet for a reason.
Also Humans attack Humans every day, we don't kill off our own, instead we lock them up or rehabilitate them. In my mind if we can look after our own kind like that why can't we respect nature in the same way and look after it and its animals.
Anyway im done with this conversation now but i see your side, i hope you can see my side.
Majority of people here grew up on the coast, it's a home to us as much as it is the sharks. It's not as simple as avoiding the water.
Sharks are non sentient, they're not like dolphins, they're entire life is 3 steps, swim, kill and breed, which is why it wouldn't harm my conscience at all if we started to cull them. I value a humans life over a shark, culling great whites, will save humans.. Period.
Im less so commenting at this video then i am using this video as a way to get that information out.
Also, we invented Cars, we didn't invent sharks, they actually out date us, they existed before we did unlike cars. So I'm not sure how you think my comment is stupid when you used a stupid analogy right back.
Anyway thats my opinion and thats your opinion. The End.
im not fake tho..
