Reasons why this is fake: That dorsal is nearly the size of a small megalodon, sharks normally dive when they grab bait, and probably the biggest sign is that the tail fin is missing. If the dorsal surfaces, the tail surfaces. Watch any shark attack video and you'll see that. The dude is an idiot and is lucky he wasn't attacked by a real shark.

What I meant was if hooked, they'd usually swim outwards into the deeper part of the ocean. Not into the shallows. That's why Shark fishermen take hours to land one. Nevertheless, thanks for your reply. I didn't know much about the ships in Miami. You learn something new every day. :)

@IRHasDiabetes911 You have to consider the fact that if you were in the bystanders shoes and saw that, you might consider it being a hoax , since no one has really used a shark as a toe rope to surf, even I would question what i had seen on that day. This video would be no different than that of a full court shot at a Basketball tournament with .5 sec left in the game. Its unreal, you cant believe what you just saw... but it happened.

Also, i don't get why the shark didn't dive under the water, or why it swam along the shoreline, and not out to sea. Obviously it's not proof, but IMO it's fake...
