They knew we were reading both and what good for one was good for the other. And I think a good dose of just wanting to be creative and please the fans. I think these studios could learn a good lesson from the comics publishers they're mining so much gold from these days.
They worked together, they all got paid, but most importantly they wanted to please the fans.

Not saying Hawkeye is the one with the Soul Stone but maybe Coulson (Off screen) or Nick Fury sends the weakest Avenger into space to find Captain Marvel and retrieve the Soul Stone? He's the weakest Avenger and has ZERO screen time in all the trailers which means his part of the story line is either REALLY important like I explained above OR they're really screwing him for these Avengers movies.

That and gslactus will probably enter the scene in some way or form with all the upcoming celestial stuff we will presumably be seeing in the future of the mcu. But again, if anything I see surfer more being used as the emissary of gslactus rather than his own hero in this story.
Doesn't matter it's not real & it's not like Silver Surfer is can't be replaced. Literally almost anyone with that head and and body type could play him & then they could also use cgi.

I never said he wouldn't be in a later GotG. Is anyone reading what I'm saying, or am I wording it badly :/? I said in the interview I saw, they said they didn't want the tease of him that was at the end of GotG 2, since they were afraid it'd make people believe he was confirmed for Avengers Infinity Part 1 or/and 2. But they obviously put that tease in anyway.
That they're changing how the story ends since he won't be in it. The reason I'm saying 'If I recall correctly' is because I can't remember the person being interviewed, or who was doing it, so I can't look it up to share.
Plus we already got a tease of what is more than likely Atlantis (a random civilization in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean) on Nick Fury's S.H.I.E.L.D world map at the end of Iron Man 2. The same map that showed Wakanda too, and look how that manifested in the MCU, so you can definitely bet that Namor and Atlantis is going to come in at some point. I'd bet some time in late Phase 4 or early Phase 5.
