the most important golden rule of them all is once you have mastered all the others and you want to hit the surf please show some consideration for those who are in the surfing area and who do not have the advantage of being on a SUP with a big paddle and bumper car type board not only are the SUP very very dangerous to prone surfer "I have seen on a few occasions a prone surfer getting hit by a swinging paddle which resulted in the surfer getting 15 stitches over his eye"so keep your distants
