I'm buying the game solely for that !
Yeah I liked the Sinnoh region as well...but it doesn't need remake because it's already good to begin with. Just like the movies, why make a remake of something that's already good. Making FireRed/Leafgreen makes sense since Red/Blue is a pretty broken game. Making HeartGold/Soulsilver makes sense because Gold/Silver was missing was so many things, could've have a much potential but couldn't because of how the game was created at that time and suffered from the same things from Red/Blue.
Making ORAS makes sense because Ruby and Sapphire wasn't that good and doesn't feel complete and Emerald is the much better and superior version of it. Now making a Sinnoh region...all I can see Gamfreak doing is make it 3D, add mega and primal evolutions and nothing else. That's not enough for the Pokemom game that changed a lot of things in the Pokemon franchise.
It's not because Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is the last pokemon game on the 3DS. So just buy the original D/P, it's still good to play and doesn't really need a remake to begin with.

Manatine is a Gen 2 hence the Gen 2 VC and this is probably gonna be remiscent of the Surfing Pikachu mini-game from Pokemon Yellow
Sudowoodo again is a Gen 2 for the VC which is most likely going to be Mallow's new trial
The Robotic Vikavolt is probably gonna be one of those generectic robot gone wrong experiments
It looks like they are gonna further devlop on Mimikyu making him seem more dangerous and creepy

The player's name, Ray is most likely the canon name because as you saw in the lil Rockruff segment the boy's OT is Ray
The "Over 400 Pokemon" and showing those is probably teasing those getting alolan forms.

As for the anime the ones I recommend most are the xy(z) series and diamond and pearl. You can watch the other season if you want to, but it's best that you avoid the black and white series (don't ask me why it'll just give me nightmares again. Plus, all it did was take the good things about the black and white games and ruin it. In my opinion at least). Oh, I almost forgot, I also recommend pokemon generations (you can find this on youtube) and pokemon origins.
I know Alola is a small region and it makes zero sense to have everything but I want more than "over 400" :o

Now Pokemon is shifting to change the nature of its gameplay and I'm not sure if that's the right step. At least port Pokemon onto a more dedicated gaming system if you want to make it a major thing, especially with all the surfing etc

Regardless, I'm really glad we got SOME news. Hopefullly, considering Mina challenges you, it means that we can challenge the Captains like they're gym leaders or something. Maybe not, but it would be cool. Also, Mantine surfing looks AMAZING, and it looks like both Hau and Lillie are going to be rivals! Very excited for this game!

To be honest, even if this looks like dlc material it wouldn't work. For GameFreak to make a single update just to include all of this content into Sun and Moon would take a long time, including all the content they haven't shown us yet.
I personally think that the Mantine Surf is an amazing and cool idea. It's a different and unique thing that we haven't seen in another Pokemon game. Yes, you may say it's similar to Mega Latios/Latias in ORAS, but we clearly see that there will be a points mechanism and Pokemon as obstacles. You'll probably get cool rewards for getting a high score. Something that many people will strive for.
Mina's trial being added in an update would be pointless due to that it would have to be involved in some kind of plot or some explanation to as how all of the sudden she has a one.
The Alola Phot Club is something we've seen before in the past but I always enjoyed dressing up my Pokemon and taking cool/cute pictures with them.
And how is this the same game since the are 400+ Pokemon in this game. It's a big improvement on the low number of Pokemon that could be caught in Sun and Moon. I personally love that they did this since it's always my goal to finish the pokedex. It's a reason why I loved completing the national dex in X&Y.
But anyways, I respect your opinion about this.
Ohh? Surfing was a feature in Original Sun and Moon? Wow I never knew that, I must be playing the wrong Sun and moon game. I guess I got the bootleg version of the game off the streets for cheap! Sarcasm off
