I wish i was as brave as them when I was little. It took me SO long to leave the edge of the pool. Until I was probably at least 6 or 7 I just held on to the pool ladder and wouldn’t go in deep. Your kids will snorkel, surf, all sorts of stuff.

Love your post this week! Garrett, we need your expertise! My youngest sister (13yrs old) has the same swimming issue Lucy had. She doesn’t like putting her head under water and we’ve tried swimming lesson here at home but for some reason she has this fear of the water. I’ve tried showing her how I think about swimming~I say I’m a mermaid! But even then she’s hesitant to get her head under water and attempt to swim on her own. I’d really appreciate any tips! Thanks! absolutely love love your videos and I think your family is absolutely beautiful, however it really isn't a good idea to encourage Manila and Dorothy that they can handle wild animals in such a way. I'm perfectly aware that in this situation that not a lot of harm was done at all, however by catching a small animal by the tail and trying to pick it up in an incorrect fashion, can cause more physical harm that we can anticipate, and can cause an incredible amount of stress for such a tiny animal. Its also the case with a few reptiles that the pH of our skin can have an effect on them. As I said, i'm aware harm is never going to be the intention of the children or the entire family, but I think it's worth noting that when it comes to wildlife and any wild animals, admiring from afar is always better! Any kind of encouragement otherwise, at souch a young age can potentially have an influence on the view of the treatment of wild animals in the future. You have to respect them and not make advances to try and hold them or touch them whenever possible. Much love from england x
